Registered Social Worker
Welcome. Taking steps towards change can be difficult. I am here to help.
Therapy is an effective tool that helps make lasting change. Therapy helps connect the past to the present and allows us to understand what drives the choices we make. I believe in working collaboratively to make sense of difficulties and learn to cope. Clients arrive with strength and resilience. A trusted relationship with a therapist provides insight, understanding, and ultimately illuminates a path towards change.
My Approach
We will start where you are and work together to establish an effective treatment plan which incorporates your inherent strength and wisdom. You are the expert on your own life. My role is to guide and provide insight.
I believe it is crucial to establish a collaborative relationship built on trust. We will speak together about what is bringing you to therapy - why now?
The initial session(s) will focus on your history. We will start to uncover what you are hoping for from your therapy experience and we will speak together about how to get there.

As of September 26, 2012, counselling services provided by Registered Social Workers (RSWs) can be claimed as a medical expense tax deduction when you file your income tax return. In other words, Registered Social Workers are authorized “medical practitioners” for the purpose of claiming medical expenses. Many supplemental insurance plans, such as the kind provided by your employer, frequently cover these services so check with your insurance provider.
